CRV stands for California Redemption Value. It’s the amount you get back when you recycle eligible beverage containers.

Aluminum, plastic, and glass bottles labeled with “CA CRV” or “California Redemption Value.”
These usually include:
Soda cans
Water bottles
Beer bottles
Sports and iced tea drinks

Payment varies by material and weight. As of now:
Up to $1.66/lb for aluminum
Up to $1.33/lb for plastic
Around $0.10 per glass bottle (by count)

Payments & Process

Cash only, no coupons, points, or cards. Paid on the spot after we weigh or count your CRV containers.

No. Whether it’s one bag or ten, we accept it.
Identification & Rules

For most redemptions, no.
ID may be requested for large loads over $100 or repeated same-day visits, as per state law.

Yes, but cash payments are made to an adult if the recycler is under 18.

Yes, limits apply per material type. Current CRV rules cap redemptions at 100 lbs aluminum, 100 lbs plastic, and 1,000 glass containers per day per person.
